phonics plus

I just walked out for a while and caught a glimpse of the fireworks on display. Then, I went back to my room. Nothing new I guess. Every year it's the same. So, it sort of seems mundane to me even though it is the national day of Singapore. Happy Birthday Singapore!!! Well, put that aside. I spent the day in a totally dazy mood. The whole of yesterday afternoon, my friends and myself were jamming at our place. We were really having good time playing guitar and singing. Nothing could beat that! As usual we recorded our videos on our canon video camera and uploaded into you tube. Do watch it..cuz we feel that music is the medium through which we express the best! So yeah, enjoy it. Hopefully I can upload many other nice music.

In the evening,we went to club at a bollywood club. Initially, I thought it'd be boring but then later it turned out to be pretty good! I did have a good time. My friend Don, our  lead singer, who usually avoids crowd was also dancing to some Bangra tunes. It was also at the club that he suggested the name of our band. I kind of like the name PHONICS PLUS! So, there it is, the inception our amateur band's name. I am just hoping that we can carry our musical journey to greater heights and cover greater miles!

Cheers

Shanghai, Nepal and India

Oh my, it was such a rush!!! I think I took plane more than i take taxi in 3 months!!!
My first visit to Shanghai was terrific!!! As soon as i landed at Shanghai Airport, the first cool breeze that I felt on my skin made me feel that my stay was definately going to be worthwhile. No doubt, the stay was fantastic. To sum up in a couple of words, good scenary, good food and good people...What more can I say? Just loved hanging around with my friend Kenny and sometimes with my God Father, Dr Mok. We stayed at this smooth condo in Pudong and just enjoyed our stay. What I love about Shanghai would be its buildings. Everywhere you see is like another tower. If you notice, they have sort of fetish for buildings "pearl" or orbs on top of those buildings..find it quite amusing and yeah, the famous Shanghai Pearl tower was there too and guess what? Yeah, u guessed it correctly, we took photos in front of the buildings where Tom Cruise made his famous jump in MI3! For a moment, it dawned upon me if Dan Brown was referring to the Pearl Orb under the stars for the location of the secret or the one in France at Louvre..Anyway, I am digressing, i know...so i shall end it here for the Shanghai trip..you gotta go there to check out....
As soon as I came back from China, I rushed to Nepal to meet my Dad whom i had not met for over 10 yrs!!! yeah, so I had to go by all means...Anyway, the reunion was nice and soon, my uncle, my dad and i left for India. We took two days to reach Delhi from Kathmandu. The trip was as unpleasant as the number of days in the bus. We stayed at Delhi for only a day. However, from Delhi we went to Dharamsala, a  beautiful hilly area in the Himanchal Pradesh ( Northern Part). I think Dharamsala is as beautiful as Darjeeling and they look sort of similar. The most important of all was the fact that His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama's birthday was approaching. Just at the right moment at the right place we were. At least we got glance of Dalai Lama in person and not just on TV. So, yah, it was a blessed trip to India. I m so lucky.
